Easter Flower Adventure

>> Wednesday, February 24, 2016

You know how your card starts out in your head one way and ends up another?  Well, this card started out with super Spring colors in my head, but somehow morphed into a bit darker creation.  I ended up loving it, and since my daughter (who is super trendy and stylish) said she liked it, I kept it.

I used the Medium Script Happy Easter  (used my MISTI for the first time because after doing all that mixed media modeling paste and paint, I had to stamp it several times - can I just say I am a MISTI convert now!), Ornate Corner Tile, Leafy Tree Branch, and Medium Daisy Bloom,

I mixed Acrylic Paint and Modeling Paste for my background and rubbed it over dry wall tape with a bit of water to make my bg.  I watercolored and then sponged the flowers and corner tiles.  Used some sprigs, leaves and flowers out of my stash to give the arrangement more depth.

I am looking forward to Spring Flowers this year - I think I might actually plant some (I haven't done that in a long time).

Many hugz,

Nancy

Nancy, this is one gorgeous card! I love your bg and the colors are fabulous! I definitely need to get some modeling paste...my only jar was totally dried up. I don't know why stuff doesn't keep fresh forever, lol.
