Christmas Village

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well & you have plans to be with friends & family on Thanksgiving! And maybe some Christmas shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing the majority of my shopping the old fashioned, point & click way. Amazon is a beautiful thing. Of course hubs will tell you he was shopping online before most anyone. He's always been ahead of the technological curve...but he makes up for it by being behind the time curve..he always waits until the last minute. If it weren't for the last minute, most of us would never get anything done!

So I'm showing my ideal, old fashioned Christmas Village scene. I can almost hear the Christmas music (I know I can hear it louder in any retail store) and feel the crunch of the snow under my feet. I'm thinking this man has just visited the toy shop to pick up last minute gifts for his kids & is heading to the craft store to pick up a very special gift for his crafty wife. If he waited until the last minute like my hubs, I bet it's extra special, or else he'll be sharing quarters w/ Fido.  This was a fun scene to create & I really didn't have to do very much masking since everything is far enough apart. After I colored everything w/ Copics, I added some stickles to some of the snow & some crystal effects stuff to the icy pond. I even let it dry overnight. You'll never know how hard it was to wait.
I added a red mat & then on to the card. And by the way, you can order your very own personalized stone welcome sign! The one on the right is the one I asked for & you'll be able to get one for your very own w/ your own wording! How special is that?!? Below are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Thanksgiving!

A masterpiece! I can't believe how many images you were able to fit on your card! It is the perfect Christmas Village - it has me thinking Mayberry and now I have whistling in my head :) Love that you kept it "simple" in that you stuck to a rectangle and just added stamps, kinda like old fashioned stamping!
