Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Has it been hot in your area? Is it a dry heat or a sticky mess? I was out in NV in July a couple of years ago & everyone says "oh, but it's a dry heat". Right...if you can call a blast furnace just a "dry heat". 115 degrees is ridiculous..dry or not. Here in the southeast, it's more like a lobster boil. So humid you can wear the air. The weather channel was saying how outdoor baseball games do better in high humidity because the ball goes further so pitchers & hitters really do well. Since I'm not pitching any MLB games, I wish the humidity would just knock it off. I would like my good hair days back!

So I'm thinking my little jungle scene kind of describes our weather. Hot, humid & the leopard is just hanging out trying to keep cool. After stamping the leopard, I masked him & sponged in the background & sky then colored him with Copics. The greeting was rearranged to fit the die cut oval & I cut around his feet & tail to slip it under.
The brown die cut frame was added on top then I punched out about a bajillion leaves in different shades of green, scored & sponged them before adding them all on top to look like the jungle floor. Here are the Copics I used to color it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'll tell you, I started this card thinking I would use it for next week's challenge..so...if you enter this week's Stitch in Time Challenge & you can figure out the theme of next week's challenge, I'll give you an extra entry in the drawing! (Hint: it's in one of the label tags for this post.) One guess per person & just mention your guess in a comment on this week's challenge post HERE.

I'm with you on this awful weather Julie! We've had so much humidity this year I've been living in the A/C. However, it might be worth it if it got me stamping a card as wonderful as your jungle scene! Those 3D leaves really grabbed my attention and I love how you manipulated the sentiment and then left it rather simple centered in your scene!
