Bee Happy

Good morning!
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far! If it isn't raining in your neck of the woods, maybe you are out doing some gardening!
Hearing of the plight of our honey bees, I love going out where I have an abundance of blooms this year, to the front yard and hearing all the busy little bees doing their thing! I have a Purple Robe Lotus tree in front and in back that are just loaded with the most gorgeous hot pinkish purple blooms right now that are sweet as can be.

I also used polka dot ribbon and an embossing folder with swiss dots, a label die and black Liquid Pearls.
I made a reverse image of the Bitsy Bee by stamping the Bitsy Bee onto the back of an acrylic stamp (solid back) then stamping it onto paper. I used dark grays to color his face so that the little expression could still be seen. The polka dot button centers are shaded at the bottom to give them a bit of a 3-D look as if there are real buttons in the centers, and the butterfly has Stickles on the wings (as do the bees).  The bees are fussy cut and stuck on with foam tape.  What looks like black brads on my sentiment label is really black Liquid Pearls.
The main image is matted with yellow then black and the card base is black with a white insert. The ribbon is actually two different ribbons.  One is solid (the one laying on the card front) and the bow is sheer.
Thanks for visiting today, come back soon! Have fun stamping!

How pretty, Robin! Those dotty flowers are really taking the show this week. Great color combo and of course, the polka dot border is the perfect image to go with!

So cute!!! I love the contrast of the embossing folder on top and the black dots on the bottom and how your focal images POP on the monochrome background!
