Gladdest Day

>> Saturday, April 4, 2015

Good morning!
Tomorrow is Easter so I thought this card the perfect choice for today's post!
DRS stamps used: 1116K Three Wooded Crosses, 714F Earth's Saddest Day Easter.
I colored with Copic Markers and used Spellbinders dies to cut out and frame my image.  The decorative framing is backed with yellow cardstock and then glued to the card base.  I then added pearls to the corners and centers on each side.
When I do sunset/sunrise skies, I find that for me, I get the best results by adding colors together that are next to each other (or close) on the color wheel. Blue and purple or pink then pink with yellow or orange...etc. Never blue with orange or purple with yellow...if you get my point. If the colors are too far apart they just make mud. So that is my tip for today.
The card is really pretty simple and yet makes a big statement!
Have a fantastic holiday weekend!
Do you have plans for Easter??? I will be cooking a nice dinner at my house for some family.  Maybe we will even play some Mexican Dominos.
I hope you all have a happy Easter and hopefully you get a little time to play with your crafting stuff!
