Happy Easter

>> Monday, March 2, 2015

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the new week. We got more snow yesterday. It was a nice steady all day snow and so very pretty. But it is the first of March so if it decides to warm up some, I won't mind!!

I have been working on Easter cards for the grands and thought I'd share one with you today. It is also perfect for this week's challenge here at DRS Designs, "All Ears." If you have been checking the blog lately you will have noticed this adorable bunny image and the fun Easter Peep sentiment. They pair up perfectly and make fabulous Easter cards for children.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and used green gelatos to watercolor the background. The bunny, sentiment and jelly bean background were all stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink. The bunny and jelly beans were colored with Copics. Everything is layered on orange CS. The sentiment seemed to be lacking something so I added a couple of yellow enamel dots. I kept it pretty flat for easy mailing.

Be sure to check out the challenge here. We'd love to have you play along and you could be winner of some great new stamps.

Thanks for stopping by,

shelia

This card is delightful! I think the color combo is the best and your layout is fantastic too! What says Easter basket more than peeps and jellybeans?
