Have a Shamrockin' Day

>> Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Welcome!

My card today is a fun salute to St. Patrick's Day.... which I cannot believe is right around the corner!!

I started my card by cutting a white piece of card stock 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I stamped our new Irish Inventory Stamp in the bottom left corner and then proceeded to rotate the card stock and stamp again and again in the same corner (my tip of the day for getting the background as square as possible :)  I sponged the edges with spring green and then adhered it to a folded 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 yellow card.

For my focal image I cut a white piece of card stock to 3 x 3 and stamped the center with our Shamrockin' Day Greeting and then surrounded the four sides with our Shamrock Swag.  After coloring all the shamrocks with markers I sponged the edges with yellow and layered it on a piece of yellow card stock and attached it to the center of my card.  The corners looked a little ho-hum so I stamped the Shamrockin' Greeting several times on scrap and colored and cut out four shamrocks to adhere to each corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Sue
