Tis The Season

>> Saturday, November 29, 2014

Hello everyone! Good Saturday to you all!
Hope your weekend is going well!  Being that it is a holiday weekend you probably have a house full or you are out of town but I'm sure a few of you get to have a nice quiet weekend at home.  If that's you, here is an idea to start your Christmas season.  Who doesn't like pretty Christmas tree ornaments?
I have colored this ornament and cut it out to pop it up over holly embossing.  Ah, you are probably wondering about my ornament topper, well, it is the bottom of another popular Christmas stamp here at DRS.  The topper is 164M Holly Hurricane.  Yes, that's right...Look what you can do with just part of an image!  The ornament is 526K Nativity Ornament.
My embossed background is a folder from Sizzix, the greenery die cut is Sizzix as well. The die cut frame is from Spellbinders.  I popped the frame as well as the ornament and topper with foam tape from 3M.  The last little detail to the ornament and topper was to paint on some clear Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer.  It doesn't show in the photo very well I'm afraid, but the person who gets this handmade card will certainly see it!
I hope that you had a very "full" filling Thanksgiving and that you are now getting crafty!  Ok, how many weeks till Christmas? Oh my goodness, get crackin'!
Thankfully here at DRS,
Robin
