Enjoy Today Butterfly

>> Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Welcome!!

As I sat down to stamp last night, I had all intentions of working with our new Christmas Village designs - and of course like all good plans, I went off track rather quickly.  And I can blame it all on my shopping trip yesterday morning when I picked up some new ribbon that I was anxious to use :)

Turned out to be a fairly simple card!  I stamped our Polka Dot Background using black ink.  Next I stamped our Large Single Butterfly on a separate piece of white and colored it using only shades of grey.  My 2 ovals were both rimmed with a silver jelly roll pen and then I separated our Enjoy Today stamp like you see here.  It was a little flat when I put it all together, so I curved the wings a bit by rubbing an embossing tool on the back and popped them up using some foam tape!

I hope I haven't gotten you off track for staying cool with Christmas in July!  Remember you have until 6pm to link your card to this weeks color challenge!  Good Luck!

Thanks for stopping by

Cute card, Sue. I like the way you split up the sentiment around the butterfly. Great job fussy cutting the butterfly too!
