Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Don't look at the calendar...ooops! You looked! Another Friday the 13th. Oh no! To be on the safe side, I'd like to stay inside and not do anything dangerous. But I'm supposed to meet friends (stamping friends, yay!) so I'll just have be extra careful. One thing I know I won't be doing today, is climbing up in a treehouse. That would be asking for it. This image does remind me of a treehouse my best friend Emily and I built when we were ...I dunno..about 8 or 9. Of course ours had 2 stories and it was awesome! Emily had a twin sister who was besties with my sis. They were no where near as tomboy as we were. So we tried to charge them a nickel to come up in our fabulous treehouse. They decided they'd build their own in a nearby tree. Oh man...Emily and I almost fell our of our treehouse laughing. They tried to build it from the top down and didn't get very far. A couple of boards, then they'd want to paint. Sheesh!  With all the warning labels these days, it's a wonder any of us lived this long. Then again, maybe I should have come with a warning label, lol. But that's another story.

So my treehouse was stamped, colored and die cut. I started by stamping the fence, masking as I went, then masked the whole fence and stamped the treehouse behind it. The red, lt blue and navy layers were all leftovers and they fit just about exactly so I used them. The greeting was stamped on the lt blue and to fill in down the left side, I embossed a border. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50 and these are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! If you haven't, check out the DRS Thurs Challenge. This week On The Border (use a border of some kind...stamped, punched, die cut). Have a great weekend!

Fabulous card Julie! I love the fence in front and your shading is perfect!

I can picture your treehouse - I'm guessing it even had curtains in the window and a rug on the floor ;)
