How many more days till Spring?

>> Monday, March 3, 2014

Hi Everyone! Last week I created a card wishing for spring. Well we got another 5 inches of snow yesterday, so today I'm giving in! I created a card featuring our Stretch snowman being buried by all the snow.

I started with a white card base and added the teal layer. I stamped the snowman in Memento Black ink, 3 times on white CS, then cut each into a rectangle. His scarf, hat and nose were colored with Copics. Some random snowflakes were stamped in Taken with Teal ink. I tore some white CS for the snow in each scene, adding Diamond stickles to the upper edge. The sentiment was stamped in Taken with Teal, die cut and layered on the same teal CS. A teal ribbon was added before attaching the sentiment. I used my Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle to the sentiment and the centers of the snowflakes. This card really does reflect this past winter!!!

There's still time to join us in this week's challenge to use a button on your card. You can see details here. We'd love to have you play along. You could be the winner of some awesome stamps!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are staying warm!!

Until next time,
shelia

What a fantastic card, Shelia! And so appropriate too!
You are a genius for putting it on a card the way you did, but does Jack Frost get credit for the inspiration?
