Hearts, Flowers and Chocolate

>> Tuesday, January 21, 2014

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently in Valentine card mode right now, and I sure can use something bright and cheerful at the moment.  Currently the snow is falling and the temperature is going to be well below freezing for at least the next week.  So while the thermometer isn't red, we can at least celebrate the red hot color on our cards, right?

I made my patterned paper for today's card using the Interlocking Hearts Background stamp and added a border panel stamped with the Giant Chocolate Chip.  The Rose Heart stamp was colored with Copics and die cut along with the Valentine's Hold for You Greeting.  After all, hearts, flowers and chocolate are the holy trinity of Valentine items, right?  However, personally I have to give chocolate a slight edge...lol!

Lastly I added a store bought crochet flower embellishment to the bottom corner.

Thanks for stopping by the DRS Designs blog today, and be sure to visit the store for many more Valentine themed stamps!

Karin, this is so "sweet!" I really like how you stamped the chocolate chi. At first I thought it was a cascading ribbon! So pretty!! Stay warm!!
