In a nutshell...

Welcome,

Everywhere I look lately I see fall and even though we're past the peak of leaf watching here in Connecticut, it's still beautiful - until I look at my yard and start thinking about all the raking I still need to do!  I'm a big believer in waiting until all the leaves come down before I get to work so my card today is showing the very last leaf falling!

This was a quick and easy card!  Especially since I had the base card pre-stamped with our Polka Dot Background!  For the twine, I punched out 2 holes and strung it down from the top and up from the back.

All I had to do last night was stamp our Fall Leaf w/Acorn using brown ink and color it with multiple colored markers.  I then stamped the In a Nutshell Greeting, again using brown ink and layered that with the rust colored paper.  Everything was then attached to the original folded green card!  Quick and simple!

Have you had a chance to check out our Weekly Challenge this week?  All you have to do is link any card with a pumpkin on it and if you're the randomly chosen winner you can choose any 2 DRS Designs stamp and we'll send them to you absolutely free of charge!  You can't beat that!!! Good Luck!

Happy Stamping,
Sue

LOL! I'm with you Sue! I like to wait until ALL of the leaves have fallen and then I hope for snow! :)

Great card and love the addition of the twine to tie in the nature!

Sue, your leaf looks so real!!! Great coloring and design on this. Love the use of the twine.

We have already raked leaves twice!! The trees are still full. We are suppose to have a storm tomorrow and they are predicting most of the leaves will get blown off, so I think we'll be raking lots this weekend! :-)

Love this, Sue! Especially the dot border and twine. Our leaves have just begun to turn & fall. Last month, we had a bumper crop of acorns and my deck was ankle deep in them. I'll take the leaves any day, lol.

Love the gorgeous colors on your leaf and the wonderful simple design of the card. I'm in the same boat as Shelia...Hoping the weather takes care of bringing down the restof the leaves and I can be done, once and for all. At least for this year :)

Fab job coloring that leaf. Such a great Fall card!

About fallen leaves and snow, my Grandpa always said " God put it there, God will take it away!" Luckily, we don't have trees and leaves here where I live. I hope this is the end of the leaves for all of you who have to rake them!
