Sunny Birthday Wishes

Happy Second Day of Fall!! I can't believe summer is over already. It went by way too fast for me!! Though I must admit, I love the cooler weather and the beauty of fall flowers, leaves and pumpkins. I have a friend who's birthday is next month, so today I am sharing a birthday card I made for her using the Sunflower Trio and Sunny Days Birthday greeting. Sunflowers make me think of sunshine so I like pairing these two stamps go together.

I started by stamping my birthday greeting in Memento Black ink on white CS, die cut it with a nestie and then sponged Pumpkin Pie ink around the edges while it was still in the die. The Sunflowers were also stamped on white CS, colored with copics and fussy cut. I stamped them a second time and colored the center flower, fussy cut it, added seed beads and popped it up on the original flowers before adding it to the sentiment panel. The orange layer was embossed with the Spellbinders leaf folder and layered on the brown card base. Some brown ribbon and a leaf button complete the look. Hope you like it!

This week's challenge is "The Eyes Have It." We want to see how you use those googlie eyes! You can see details here. We'd love to have you join the fun!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Until next time,
shelia
