Plaid Sympathy

>> Wednesday, September 18, 2013

Welcome!

Recently Shelia was in need of a sympathy card and it reminded me that I had gotten distracted from replenishing my stock, so as I sat down to stamp last night this is what I came up with...

The plaid background was created using our Woven Plaid stamp and both purple and black inks.  After stamping both colors I used a purple marker and a ruler to add a few extra lines.  The purple ribbon was found recently as I did a little cleaning (but I know it was wrapped around something I bought :) and after wrapping it around the plaid layer I used a pointy embossing tool to make a hole that I put a black brad through.  Our Sadness You're Feeling sentiment was stamped in black on white card stock and the corners were punched out of black card stock and glued on.  Everything was attached to a black folded card.

Gorgeous work with the woven plaid stamp. I like how the sentiment takes the center stage on this card.
