Thinking Frog....

by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well. As I write this it is raining...AGAIN...or still, I should say. I'm thinking even this little frog has had enough and he's thinking of the sun. When you see a bunch of  ducks sitting in the middle of the road in order to get out of the water everywhere, I think it can safely be said, we've had enough rain!

So I've had this wonderful cattail frame/address label image for a while and I kept putting off using it because I just couldn't figure out what to do with it besides put it on an envelope. Have you ever been stumped like that? As I'm looking thru the rest of my images,  I came across this cute little frog on a log and thought...hmmm...he could be sitting there in the window. I think it all worked out pretty well. After I colored the frog w/ Copics and cut him out, I attached him so it looks likes he's sitting in the window. I used some deckled long rectangle dies to cut out the frame and forest green layer. I wanted some open space above him to stamp some little dragonflies, and that's why the lime green layer is cut on a diagonal. I used a cattail embossing border multiple times across it. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
