Little Star Cowboy

Happy Friday!
I hope your week is going well! We had an exciting July 4th and we're still trying to put the pieces back together, lol. We had a VERY close call with lightning...it hit a tree close to the house...and all kinds of appliances & devices went to electronic heaven :( Now we have to have the poor tree taken down before it falls on something. And it was a very pretty, very tall tulip poplar. I'll miss its pretty yellow tulip shaped flowers.

So hopefully the fireworks are over and I wish I could say the same for the rain. Any more rain, and we'll need to put pontoons on our vehicles,  and scuba flippers are not a good look in footwear, lol. Anyway, my CAS card features this super cute little cowboy. I just love him! I masked all but a band across the front of my 5.50 x 4.25 card, then I stamped the Splatter Background several times in 3 colors of blue ink. I then stamped the Interlocking Star Background on top with the darkest blue ink. To make it a little more finished looking, I used my ScorBuddy to add score lines on top and bottom of the band. On a die cut rectangle, I stamped the Star Coupon and cut out the center oval.  The Cowboy was stamped on a separate piece and colored w/ Copics. I used detail scissors to cut around the horse and his hat so I could put him in the frame. I used the same darkest blue ink to stamp the greeting in the lower left corner.

These are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Could this be any cuter? Julie, I love how you colored this little guy and the way parts of his horse are sticking out from the oval. Awesome card, my friend!
