Hi Everyone,

My card post today  is in celebration of the all American summer holiday, the Fourth of July! I will be celebrating watching fireworks with friends on the third, and having a cookout with family on the fourth itself.  It's one of my favorite times of the year :)

On this card I used the Freedom Cannon for my focal image, stamping it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloring it with Copic markers and die cutting it out with a Spellbinders square die.  It was layered on a background made by covering some sticker paper with glitter and adding a strip of card stock that was dry embossed with stars.  Also, the side of my white card stock layered was punched with a star border punch.

I finished the card with some twine and a glittery star button.  Since the sentiment was built into the image, I chose not to add anything further, but did embellish the firework with a bit of Stickles.

Thanks for stopping by. Currently you have 2 chances to win a DRS Designs prize.  Join our "Letter B" challenge here, or link up a Patriotic card at the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge, where DRS Designs is this weeks sponsor!

Have a great day :)
Karin
