Red, White and Blue

>> Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Hi Everyone,
Since we are now officially into the summer season, I thought I would share one of the patriotic cards that I made recently.  The Fourth of July isn't too far away, and I adore all things red, white and blue at this time of year. I become absolutely giddy looking at the housewares department in the stores and immediately begin planning a barbeque in my head :)
Anyway, here is my card in honor of our great American holiday.
It's a simple layout beginning with a Kraft card base.  I stamped the white cardstock layer with the Interlocking Star background stamp in navy ink, and added strips of double sided tape to the bottom, coating them in red, white and silver glitter.  I then wrapped it with twine and added a die cut star coated in white glitter.

The As a Nation Greeting was simply stamped, die cut and added to the card with a couple of pop dots.

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope your summer plans are in full swing!
