Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well. It's almost time for new releases! Only a week to go so I thought I'd give you a little sneak peek. Every image I used is one of the newbies. Aren't they fabulous? I just had to use the greeting...y'all probably noticed I use the word "y'all" all the time, lol. And the wheat stalk and checkerboard are fantastic! Can't tell y'all how long I've wanted a checkerboard border. That cute little scarecrow is a real sweetie, too. I just love the little crow on his shoulder. We have a group of crows that visit our backyard every morning. They know I throw food out for the squirrels (it keeps them out of the bird feeders) and they drop by to check out the goodies. I saw a documentary on crows and they are soooo intelligent. And they have incredible face recognition capabilities. They sure know me and what time I show up w/ food!

The little scarecrow was colored w/ copics and trimmed w/ deckle scissors. I used the new woven bg image to make the brown and rusty colored layered behind him. The wheat was stamped w/ 3 colors of ink across my 5.50 x 4.25 white card. I added a strip of checkerboard across the bottom and some picket fence punched strips around the scarecrow layers. The sentiment was die cut and I added some shading for a little interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Y'all check back next week for the new releases! And don't forget about our DRS Thursday Challenge...Fall Greetings!

My fingers are crossed that the checkerboard is just what you're looking for!
