Halloween Recipe

Happy Friday!
Halloween is drawing ever closer! Are you getting scared? I have just the recipe for you. And this card isn't really scary...just fun. It actually started out because of a Splitcoast challenge to use plaid. Plaid you say? DRS Designs has just the stamp for that. I love the open plaid & lg original plaid, too, but this woven plaid is just plain awesome! Only problem is, every one always thinks it's designer paper!

The plaid was stamped just w/ the lighter purple in 2 directions, then I inked only one of the stripes w/ the orange and (tried) to stamp it in between the purple stripes. Too much orange on top of purple can look pretty yucky, lol. Then I inked one stripe w/ the darker purple and did the same thing. The cauldron was stamped with orange and the recipe was stamped on top in purple. I used a stamp positioner to drop the last line of the greeting down a bit. I used a die (and resized it) to cut it out. To make the glitter buckle and dots, I ran my tape adhesive (or use strips of double sided tape) over a piece of orange card stock. Sprinkle w/ glitter, tap off excess. Cover entire glittered area w/ clear packing tape. Now it's ready to die cut or punch w/o the glitter falling off.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the DRS Thursday Challenge....WITCHES! Link us up to your creation and you'll be entered to win! Have a great weekend!
