Window Birthday

by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff

Happy Friday!
Today I'm showcasing two new images (the cute window and the birthday sentiment) along with a slightly different use of the woven plaid.  I stamped the window twice and die cut them both with a rectangle die. I also stamped the window one time onto a piece of clear poly sheet.  I cut out the window panes of the two paper versions. After cutting a reverse mask for the curtains, I stamped just one flower of the flower background onto the curtains using the blue ink. I also stamped a larger piece using the woven plaid, turning it 90 degrees and stamping it again. I love the denim look this creates. The denim background and sentiment were die cut and I used a little piece of the denim for the curtain ties.

I used a smaller rectangle die to cut an opening in the front of the card, then attached the poly window behind the top paper window, attached these over the card opening and attached the second paper window to the inside. Since the hillside was stamped on the poly version, the rest of the window is symmetrical and matched up perfectly. The second half of the sentiment was stamped below so it wouldn't show through the window.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend! I'll be hanging out at the DRS Designs booth in Greenville, SC on Saturday so stop by and say hi if you're going to the convention!
