Silver Angel

Happy Friday!
Today I want to share another of the new Christmas release images. This beautiful Christmas greeting, Tidings of Great Joy. From the beginning, I imagined it in silver on a deep blue background, so I silver embossed it to make it stand out. The Starry Background was stamped w/ the same silver ink (but not embossed) on the lighter blue top panel.

This fancy butterfly die looks more like an angel to me than a butterfly, so I die cut it out of some silver card stock and the backing wing layer out the dark blue.  I added a silver layer and another dark blue layer before attaching it all to my 4.25 x 5.50 card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
stamps: Tidings of Great Joy, Starry Background
paper: dark cobalt blue, med. cornflower blue, silver
ink: Tsukineko Ultimate Metallic Silver
accessories: silver embossing powder, butterfly die (Cheery Lynn)
