It's Summertime!

>> Wednesday, August 1, 2012

Hello Everyone- Chrissy D here!!! Welcome to the DRS Designs Blog today! Are you enjoying your summer? Here it is August 1 and school will be starting very soon! It sure is flying by!

On my card today, using assorted Circle punch sizes, I punched out circles in different sizes and attached them to my card stock. I then ran the card stock through the embossing folder. I stamped the Watermelon Border with Black Staz On and using watercolor brush and the Creative Inspiration Paints, painted a portion of it and cut out a the watermelon. I then stamped the Cool Summertime Greeting in Black Ink and mounted it on Melon Mambo cardstock. To finish off the card, I added a bough!

For the Christmas card challenge, I decided to go with a Clea and Simple card...

If you haven't played along in our Christmas Card Challenge yet, it isn't too late!!! You can see it here. This week's Challenge is to make ANY kind of Christmas card!

Here are the details:
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Scor-pal, Dew Drops, watercolor brush and the Creative Inspiration Paints,
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

The bright colors just scream summer :) Love the fun look of the circles embedded in the embossing. And just in case someone was too hot looking at that, you provided a beautiful cool down with that fab wintery card!

What a fun card! I love how you embossed the circles, and how you just used a small part of the watermelon border!
