Happy Holidays

>> Tuesday, July 31, 2012

Hi Everyone,

It's hard to believe that this is the last day of July!  Doesn't the summer always seem to fly by?  Time is just so crazy :)  I hope that you have been able to get a leg up on your holiday card making with our Christmas in July challenges that we've been hosting here on the blog.  I know that I've been inspired to make some myself, and these new Christmas stamps that were released over the weekend, are sure to get your mojo flowing!

I used the beautiful new Christmas French Horn stamp for my focal image. It's such a classic image for the holiday season... I colored it with Copic markers, die cut and added a pale green die cut mat.  I felt it needed a little something else, so I stamped it again and fussy cut the poinsettia.  After coloring it, I attached it with a pop dot.

The backgrounds were created using the Jingle Bells stamp and the new White Christmas Text.  Since I used a white craft ink on the bottom, I went ahead and heat embossed those words as well. I finished the card by layering up the Small Happy Holidays for a greeting.

Be sure to stop by the DRS Designs store to check out all of the new Christmas stamps.  You will fall in love with them!

Have a great day!

This is so Christmas I forgot it was July for a second! Awesome coloring! The extra effort of popping up the poinsettia was well worth it
