Time for Flowers

>> Tuesday, February 7, 2012

Hi Everyone,

I'm about ready for some flowers, so I'm just really happy about all the spring like stamps that have been released here at DRS Designs.  Even if I can't see them in the yard yet, I'm happy to use them on some card making.  Next best thing to the real thing, right?

I used the new stamp named Polka Dot Flower Trio and colored it in with assorted Copic markers, adding a few highlights with a white gel pen when I was done.

I took inspiration from my completed image for my background papers, using Silhouette Butterflies and Interlocking Flowers to create them.  To change things up, I used a piece of washi tape in the center, instead my usual piece of ribbon.  It actually came from an assortment pack of Christmas themed washi tape in my stash of stuff, but it worked out just fine with this color combo.  I added a button to the center of some die cut flowers and my cheerful card was complete.

There's still time to link up your card for our Thursday challenge here at the DRS Designs blog.  This weeks theme is Birthdays and to see the newest stamps from DRS, just click here.

Have a great day!
Karin
