Heartfelt Condolences

>> Tuesday, August 23, 2011

Good morning everyone,

It's Karin, with my usual Tuesday post today.  I unfortunately needed a sympathy card recently, so I decided to color up the pretty Circle Lily stamp for the card.  We used to have beautiful day lily's lining the one side of our house.  I loved them because the came back every year with no work from me, but sadly they are no where to be seen anymore.  The deer have eaten them so often, that I barely get a few straggling leaves.

The main image was colored with my Copics, and I cut it out and put it on a black background which was stamped with the Lots of Dots 3" Giga Circle. I still see the trendy doilies everywhere, so I thought that would add a sweet touch underneath the image.  The yellow layer is a Nestabilities cut out.

My patterned paper was made using the Silhouette Branch background and the sentiment With Heartfelt Condolences completed the front.  I wish I was better at making these difficult cards ahead of time, rather than waiting until I need them.  Maybe you will be inspired to do so.

Have a great day!

So detailed and beautifully done. I am not good with these kinds of cards either.
