With the bitter cold temperatures we've been having, there's no doubt that Old Man Winter is in the area reminding us daily that Winter is still here.  I spent the weekend warm and cozy in my stamp room and was inspired by the weather to make this card.

The background was simply created by stamping the Interlocking Snow Background (015H) with light blue ink.  I inked the edges and then matted it before adhering it to a dark blue cardstock base.

For the middle layer I continued the layering frenzy and split the Warm Wishes Greeting (611D)  so that there was one word on each side of the Winter Wording Square.  I embellished it with some very pretty ribbon, and added a bow that was layered with a snowflake punch-out and a small light blue brad.  I heat embossed the Winter Wording Square (618G) with dark blue embossing powder, then cut it out and matted it as the focal point on my card front.

Doesn't that embellished bow give this card an elegant look?

Thanks for stopping by to see my card today.  I hope you liked it and that you're staying warm and cozy too.  Hang in there...only 8 more weeks til Spring! ;-)

Smiles,
Jennifer

Beautiful winter card, Jennifer! Love the blues and your little bow looks wonderful. Only 8 wks? It's so cold and windy today, it feels like it will never be spring.
