A Cowboy's Warm Wishes

>> Saturday, January 15, 2011

Happy Saturday!
My card today is using some oldies, but goodies from DRS Designs and the Warm Wishes Greeting is one of the fabulous new releases.  I stamped Vicki's versatile background in black on the hazelnut tan card base.  Weathered the almost amethsyt layer by crumpling it up and distressing with a sponge and black ink.  Apricot appeal and black are also used to frame the image and are weathered as well.  The cowboy silhouette image was stamped in black.  Used sticky note and circle punch to make a mask for the sun.  Brayered colors on in this order, apricot appeal, pink passion, lovely lilac and sponged on black.  Removed the mask and sponged on some apricot appeal for the sun setting.  Sentiment stamped on white and punched out and sponged apricot appeal on it as well as laid it on ink pad.  A couple jumbo eyelets and twine finish it off.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
