For the Graduate!

I know it won't be long before my mailbox is flooded with Graduation announcements and Open House invitations, so I'm preparing ahead of time!

I've used DRS Designs's new Congratulations Graduation image (K274) and the Graduation Background stamp (H984) to make a few simple Graduation cards.  I really enjoyed making these cards, probably becuase they were quick and easy to mass produce, but also becuase I could coordinate them to each of the graduates school colors.  Here's one I made for the first of many graduates this Summer, whose school colors are red and blue.

I stamped the focal image twice and then I used Copic Markers to color the Graduation Cap on one of them and the small images on the Graduation Background.  I cut the colored grad cap out and used a small black brad in the center of it for a realistic effect. Next, foam tape was added to the back of the Graduation Cap and I adhered it to the second image.  This gave the front of the card a bit of dimension.

After a bit of layering, and adding some red ribbon and 5 small white brads, this card was complete! There's not much to it, but since I'll need at least 5 graduation cards this summer, I had to keep things simple.
Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your weekend!

Smiles,
Jennifer
