Cake & Candles

Anyone up to a little birthday cake? Even if it isn't your birthday, I think there's always room for cake. This new cake image and single candle work great for anyone's birthday: kids, dad, mom, sis. Just use different colors and embellishments.

For my cake, I colored it using Prismacolor pencils and cut it out. It's attached to a large die cut circle and I stamped the greeting arc around one side and attached one cut out candle on the other side. I added yellow and turquoise circles under it, then stamped the spiro circle on white c/s and cut it out for the bottom layer.

I stamped a row of alternating height candles, colored them w/ markers and cut out along the top edge. The yellow layer has the bottom only cut w/ a scallop edge rectangle die. Along the top of the 4.25 x 5.5 white card, I stamped the stars background with pale buff and neptune inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!
