Above Par!

Happy Thursday!
This time of year, I am always in need of masculine birthday cards. And I love this silhouette golfer image. If you look closely, you should be able to see that even when using a silhouette image, you are still able to add a little highlighting or shading to make the image look more life like.

I started this golf scene by stamping the trees with pine ink then masking off the hills and sponging in the ground and sky. I stamped the golfer and the flag and added shadows to the ground with markers and more sponging. I drew in the golf ball on the tee. For the golfer, after I stamped him with black ink, I quickly added highlights using a Copic blender pen. Since I used permanent ink, I had to do this immediately before the ink was completely dry. The blender allowed me to remove a little of the ink. I added some shading with a black maker. The sentiment was split up and stamped on top.

The blue background is the backside of a Swiss dot embossed piece and I used a dk blue marker to color the dimples. Three faux brads were added to the right corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your weekend is way above par!
