Happy Birthday, Western Style!

DRS Designs is sponsoring this week's Paper Piercing challenge over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog.  I created this Western Birthday card for the challenge.

The Silhouette Hourse, the background design, and the sentiment are all by DRS Designs.

The Silhouette Horse (K462) was heat embossed with Copper Embossing powder.  I sponged red, orange, and yellow ink in the background, distressed the edges, and added distressing ink to the edges as well.  Once matted with yellow cardstock, I pierced around the image.  The background was created by stamping the Lots O'Plenty background stamp (H366) with brown ink on Craft cardstock.  I also distressed the Craft edges with Vintage Photo Ink as well.  A focal image and background like this could be used for any occasion, but I decided to make a Western Birthday card by pairing them up with the Tiny Happy Birthday sentiment (A1081).
