Joy Fold Love!

Back in December I received a Christmas Card from a friend that had such a unique opening, I knew right away that I wanted to give this card style a try.  I now know that the card she made was a Joy Fold Card after doing a bit of research on Splitcoaststampers.   For today's project, I've used this technique to create my own Valentine.  I love how fun and easy this was, and it's such a neat twist on the regular A2 size card.

The two stamps I used to decorate this card are by DRS Designs.  The Love is Patient sentiment (H201) is the focal point on the smaller front flap of the card.  I used a small heart brad to fill the empty space at the end of the quote. The larger front flap was decorated with the Interlocking Heart Background (H808) stamped in black.  I used it again on the inside, stamping it in red on white cardstock, and also stamped the word "Love" from the quote on the front, in the empty spaces between the hearts.

The best thing about this card is that it measures 5" x 4.25," so it will still fit in the regular A2 size envelopes you already have on hand.

I left the inside blank, for a personal message, but DRS Designs script "Happy Valentine's Day!" (F357) sentiment would have been perfect!

Have you tried the Joy Fold technique yet? Spice up your card style and give this one a try.  I promise you'll love it!

Smiles,
Jennifer

Love this, Jennifer! I'll definitely give this a try. It looks so great w/ the script on top and the hearts underneath.
