Cowboy Snowman & a Window View

by Julie Warner- The Write Stuff
Even though it's still winter, it warmed up here in the south this week. So I thought I'd better show you these before all the snow melts. For this one I stamped the Cowboy Snowman (L178), masked him and sponged in the clouds. I used markers to color the scene and added glitter glue to the trees and snow. I used a die to cut the oval in the frame, sponged the edges and added the Interlocking Snowflakes (H015) on the frame and the background. The sentiment was embossed using a birthday embossing folder on some metallic cardstock and I cut out just the one word and attached it to a blue layer. A couple of die cut red snowflakes were added to the upper corner.

I'm showing you a couple of views of the Window View so hopefully you'll be able to see that the front of the card is a window cut out and the scene is actually on the inside of the card. I used a template to cut out the window and stamped a curtain/wallcovering for the front using the Open Plaid (P631) and Lg Original Plaid (P641) and a blue rainbow ink pad and I sponged on more blue ink to blend it together. I used a scallop rectangle die to cut the valance and added a white lacy band I cut using a border punch.

On the inside, I stamped the Bootprints in the Snow (M150) and the Pine Tree Edger (P481), masked them and sponged in the clouds. I used markers to add a little shading to the snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the view!
