Countdown 'til Christmas!

By: Debbie Seyer - A Peek Into My Stamping Room

Did you know that there is only 49 days until Christmas? Wow, time flies, doesn't it? Have you started your Christmas Cards yet? I like to have my cards done by Thanksgiving but I don't think that will happen this year. Here is a card I made that would be easy to mass produce. Just get out the Heat Embossing gun and Gold embossing powder and have fun!!

I heat embossed the image Pinecone Square (K505) using my Versamark pad and Gold embossing powder. I then cut around the square, leaving a few pieces of the pinecone sticking out. The sentiment God's Love Christmas (G975) was stamped using Merlot Chalk Ink pad from Colorbox. After it dried, I cut the sentiment out using my Labels 1 nestabilities. I attached the two panels using 3D foam squares and tied that little bit of ribbon around the white layer. I matted this onto a piece of brushed gold cardstock and the base of my card is a pretty burgundy.

If you like to color, then my second card would be for you!

I stamped the Ornaments Galore (K655) image using Tuxedo Black memento ink pad and then cut/embossed it using the Labels 8 Nestabilities. I colored it in using my Copic Markers and added the sentiment - Christmas Words Card edger (P477). Using a marker, I just inked up the portion of the edger stamp that I wanted and stamped it into place! I just love buttons so I added a couple. I tried all buttons but it was alittle over-powering! LOL I used my white gel pen to color in the highlight part of the ornament and it really does give it that extra something!

Hope these cards have given you some good idea for Christmas cards. Its not too late to start but don't be like me and wait until the last minute!!

Both of these are wonderful, Debbie! I love the simple elegance of the first one and all the perfect Christmas color of the second. I love ornaments and I'm a sucker for ornament images. This one is terrific!
