that means dressing up and trick or treating...right?! Well, I know one little elf that decided to get dressed up this year...

Images by DRS Designs...

I just couldn't resist dressing up the little Cutie Pie letters to Santa(G1147) image!!! Isn't she cute in her witch outfit?! It just goes to show how versatile the DRS images can be...a little imagination, a few markers and some brads and I was all set!!! I found the brads in the dollar section of Target a couple of weeks ago. This was a fun card to make. This card also qualifies for our DT member Vicki's new challenge blog - challenge #1...check it out here at The Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential!

I thought I would share two more things with you in this post...

First...we all have had or will have mishaps in stamping. C'mon, admit it...things sometimes go awry and sometimes it just breaks our heart after we've spent so much time on something. I felt that way the other night while coloring the image in the card above. I was just about done when.....PLOP! I dropped my brown marker right onto the image and it skidded its way into my lap. I was so upset with myself for not being more careful. So I sat and contemplated what to do...I loved coloring the image, don't get me wrong, but it was late and I didn't want to have to start over...

Here is the damage...

Well, I was determined to make it work...as you can see in the photo of the card...a few primas and jewels (of course) did the trick!!! My plop was covered up and my image and overall card were salvaged!!! Just goes to show, you can always make it work!!!!

And just for fun...here is the way the image was intended to be used...

Thanks for checking in...stop by tomorrow for more Operation Write Home card inspiration!!!

See you soon...

Wow! I love both versions. Very creative to take a Christmas image and rework it to fit Halloween. Great job on the marker cover up. I can't tell you how many times I've done something similar.
