Welcome!

Do you live in the vicinity of Greenville, SC??? Are you just kicking around this weekend looking for something to do or somewhere to go??? Well look no more! Cruise on down to the Carolina First Center and join us at the Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you heard about our Holiday card drive for Cards for Heroes? You can click HERE for all the details, but in a nutshell we're not only looking for cards to thank our troops, we're also looking for blank cards that they can send home to their families.
My card on Monday was for them to send home, today my card today is a thank you. It would be wonderful if each and every member of our troops could receive a "Thank You" for everything they do.
These are the stamps I used ~
and here's my card!
I had so much fun turning Santa's suit into cammies! I was surprised how easy it was too! I simply chose 3 sandy, beige-y markers and went to town, starting with the lightest color and making squiggly areas. Then I filled around them with the 2 darker colors.
I was a little concerned with Santa's bright white beard and mustache (I really wanted to add some face paint, but was afraid to go overboard) so instead I used a 3D snow effect paste to add some dimension. I added it to Rudolph's white front too!
I stamped Vicki's Versatile Background (H369) to the kraft paper using versamark ink to give it a little pep and I stamped the Merry Christmas sign on a second piece of paper and after coloring it I attached it using 1/8" pop dots.
I stamped the sentiment using color box evergreen ink and embossed it using clear embossing powder. I then layered both with the red paper. All that was left was to attach all to my folded green card. You can't see it here, but I also stamped a "Thank You" inside using versamark ink and white embossing powder.
All in all a fun and relatively simple card!
I just hope Rudolph's nose doesn't give away their position!
Thanks for stopping by! and remember to come see us in Greenville if you can!
Such a fun idea, Sue, and for such a great cause. It would also be easy to use your technique for a humorous holiday card for a hunting buddy, too!
