Midnight Madness Sketch #20

By Debbie Seyer - A Peek Into My Stamping Room

This month, DRS Designs is sponsoring the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. Here is my card using the #20 Sketch Challenge!

I don't know why but I enjoy using non-traditional colors for my Christmas Cards. I guess I just like my cards to stand out! LOL Here I have used the color combo from the Cosmo Cricket - Jolly By Golly Collection - Riding Hood Red(SU) & Aqua Mist (PTI). For this card, I used a piece of Kraft cardstock cut to 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" - folded to make a 5 1/4" square card.

For the bottom layer of my card, I stamped the Medium Filigree Snowflake image using Versamark onto a piece of Riding Hood Red cardstock. I matted the patterned paper onto a piece of Aqua Mist. I stamped the Glittering/Twinkling Christmas Greeting using Riding Hood Red ink pad onto Shimmery White Cardstock. I cut/embossed using some nestabilities and matted it onto a larger nestabilities. For the neat little bow, I used one of DRS Designs cute little ribbon slides - Bow Ribbon Slide. I stamped the ribbon slide image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad onto Shimmery White cardstock and colored using my markers. I cut the image out and used my craft knife to make to small slits for my ribbon to "slide" right through. Easy! I added a few small snowflakes with rhinestones to complete the card.

I sure hope you will visit the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge blog to participate! You could win some great DRS Design images plus have fun with all the great sketches! Hope you have a great day!!
