Happy and Safe Holidays for the Little Ones!

My friend and I were talking today about thoughts and plans for the holidays since it will be here before you know it. Some of my traditions include an ADVENT wreath and her traditions include a Menorah for Hanukkah. We were both saying how our 5 year old girls should be included in these traditions... but since they both include candles... how could this be done safely? With DRS and stamping of course!!! I went on line and found this picture of a Menorah for little ones to color. I enlarged it on my printer and colored it in with copic markers. I then stamped 9 candles on blue paper and cut them out. Next, I stamped the top part of the candles and colored them with SHIMMERZ and the flame with copics. I cut them out as well and glued them to the blue part of the candle. Then I used my xyron to laminate the candles so that they can be used year after year. I added a small amount of Velcro to the back of the Menorah and some to the candle so that when it is the appropriate day, the candle can be "lit" safely and her darling little girl will feel included in the families holiday traditions. Now I am off to make an ADVENT wreath for our family. Thanks for popping in ... have a terrific day!

Awesome idea! It would also be a fun way to celebrate a birthday, by adding a new candle every year!!
