Autumn Greetings!

Happy Friday! Do you realize today is the last Friday of the Summer?? Yep, that's right! Next Tuesday is the first official day of Autumn for all of us here in North America. I'm a little bummed that Summer is actually over because the dreaded cold soon follows, however, I do love the in between season--Fall!

If you're anything like me, and Fall and stamping are 2 of your favorite things, then make sure to check out DRS Designs awesome Fall stamp collection. (They have fun Halloween ones too!) I love the great images they have and I especially love coloring them. With the cool, crisp, Fall air upon us, I couldn't help but share an Autumn Greeting with you today. It uses one of my favorite Fall images, the "Sunflower and Pumpkin Patch."

Stamps: DRS Designs- Sunflower Pumpkin Patch (P105) Small Autumn Greeting (B422)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown, SU! Bashful Blue & Chocolate Chip
Paper: Smooth white cardstock by Office Depot, Colored Cardstock by The Paper Company, Bazzill, and American Crafts
Accessories: Bic Markers, Starlightz Glitter Gel Pen, Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Spots and Dots Embossing Folders, Ribbon by Michael's Dashes Dots and Checks, Brown Zig Marker,
Finished Card Size: 6.5" x 4.25"

The layout for this card roughly follows this weeks Splitcoast Sketch challenge. The image was colored with Marker and I used a Glitter Gel Pen on the pumpkins to give them a little sparkle. I apologize for the quality of this picture. I had a really hard time trying to get a decent picture of it.

I created the image background by using the masking technique--I used a Post-It Note to block off the area above the horizon and sponged brown ink for the ground. Then I reversed the Post-It and sponged blue around the upper portion of the image for the sky. I used a brown fine point marker to drawn in the dead grass patches on the ground.

I stamped the sentiment "Autumn Greetings" in dark brown ink on the yellow panel. Then, I added texture to this card with my Cuttlebug Embossing Folders for each of the panels seen behind the image. A little ribbon along the bottom edge of the yellow panel tied everything together.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend full of fun things!

Smiles,
Jennifer
