"Pots" of fun for you today!

Hi There...hope your weekend is going well. I'm here today with a post that will be a"pot" of fun!!! Ok, enough, I know!!! Anyway, my post does revolve around a pot...
a pot that I found in the Target dollar spot, along with a few other fun items.

Images by DRS Designs...of course!

This is a recyclable pot (according to the sticker). I simply stamped the strawberries (K291)on a mega scallop punch and used my Creative Memories circle cutter for the chocolate layer. I wrapped some wide twill ribbon (found at Walmart) around the pot with a little scrap of pink gingham. The pot is filled with gloves, plant markers and some note cards that sport a special surprise.

Here are the gloves and plant markers...

Both from the dollar spot. The markers came in a package of 5 with a black marker for writing your plant name. I chose the small strawberry duo (D798) image for the markers and used a one inch circle punch and cuttlebug scallop die. I used the same twill ribbon to tie the gloves together. Check out the images on the ribbon...did you know you can make your own decorative ribbon? All you need are some small images like the stick n stamp images that DRS offers and some Staz-on ink. I find Staz-on is the best ink to use because it doesn't bleed into the ribbon fibers. I chose to use the Nature 1 (F120) set for my ribbon.

And last but not least...a set of mini notecards. I recycled an embellishment package, also from the dollar spot as the container for my cards.

These were quick and easy cards. The surprise I mentioned at the beginning of this post is that you can actually put some seeds in the seed packet and give them to your friends. DRS has an awesome seed packet stamp (P748). Just stamp, cut out and fold...a great little container even if you keep them for yourself. Just think how organized you can be. Instead of putting your seeds in random paper envelopes, make your own from cardstock or vellum (shown here)...they will not only be organized, but they'll look great too! I used two backgrounds on these cards...Vicki's versatile background (H369)and the raindrop background (H1012). A simple sentiment (B824), some ribbon, a clip and a button finish things off. The packet is attached by the clip for easy removal.

I hope my project inspires you...this is a great, easy, inexpensive and pretty gift idea. Just in time for those end of year teacher gifts!

Mark your calendars...tomorrow the DRS team will start showing you sneak peeks of new images that will be released this coming Saturday, June 13th. We'll be having another blog hop with a chance to win some new releases of your choices so be sure to keep checking back!

See you soon...
