By Debbie Seyer

Hello everyone! My name is Debbie Seyer and I am a guest designer for DRS Designs for the months of March and April. I was so excited to get my bag full of stamps! One of my favorite images in the bag is the cute Cherry Top Cupcake (E463). Not only do I love it but my daughter loves it, too. So knowing that her 13th birthday was February 29 and that this is not a leap year, I made her an extra special birthday card.

I took my color combo from the ribbon I found in the bottom of my ribbon scraps jar! I first stamped the Lines O'Plenty Background (H366) on the pink cardstock using the same color pink ink pad. I did the same thing on the bright green cardstock. I stamped the All About You Birthday (H371) on white cardstock using the bright green ink pad. I stamped the Cherry Top Cupcake image 3 times on some white cardstock. I colored them in with markers and cut them out. I mounted my cupcakes onto scalloped rectangles matted with white cardstock using some dimensional dots to make them stand out. I put my whole card together and then used some Crystal Stickles on the cupcake tops and the cherry. I find putting the stickles on last is the best way for me, otherwise I have stickles all over myself!!

Hope you have enjoyed my first post as a DRS Design Guest Designer, I know I have enjoyed using all these great stamps. Hope you have a great day!

Wonderful first post Debbie, and amazing card! I love how you chose your color combo from a ribbon scrap -- creative AND frugal. Great sketch and the touch of sparkle is perfect!
