Happy monday morning friends!! Are you in the mood for chocolate yet?! I am...especially after seeing all of these wonderfully YUMMY treats that the DRS Designs design team has been showing us so far!! (Be sure to scroll down to see them all!)Here's my Halloween treat for you today! I love those little Hershey's chocolate nuggets! And when I found all the templates with dimensions that this wonderful gal on SCS created for everyone, I went to work at printing almost ALL of them out and creating several different types of boxes! I've made Halloween ones (like you see here!), some for Christmas presents and even for birthdays! So just about ANY occasion is great for these cute little treat boxes!!
For this particular box, I want to share with you TONS of templates for these which can be found on the SCS website >>>CLICK HERE!<<< (Scroll down to the posts to download just about ANY size you'd like through a PDF format!) The first page of the template is for the bottom portion of the box and the second page of the template is for the slide off lid with the box! YES! I do have a slide off lid with mine, but it may be hard to tell in this picture because I used acetate to create it! I've also stamped on the acetate before with Staz On ink, but choose not to for this particular treat so you can see all the yummy treats! :)
After cutting the dimensions for my orange bottom portion of box, I stamped all over it with this Newly Released (perfectly fitting for this!) A Treat for You! sentiment in the same color orange and then went over it again in Vanilla ink. I went ahead and finished folding and putting together the entire box with the acetate slider lid. The nuggets were created with computer address label stickers! What I did was take the Easy Candy Corn BG stamp and cut off just ONE of the candy corn pieces so that I can use it seperately by itself! So I took the single Candy Corn and stamped it in orange ink right in the middle of the address label, colored in the bottom portion with a yellow marker, peeled it off the sheet and wrapped it around the chocolate nugget! VERY easy to do!
I then placed all the nuggets in the box, wrapped my brown dotted ribbon and silver cord together around the box and tied on the scalloped circle label that you see! I stamped the sentiment in brown ink and used the single Candy Corn and off-stamped the orange in the middle of the sentiment. Punched this out with a circle punch and used a scallop circle punch for a layer behind it! I also used a white gel pen to place dots on each scallop!
Although the template may look a bit complicated, I think these are so quick and simple to put together! They can be so fun and elegant at the same time! I hope you will try out one of these treat boxes and show us your results!! (You have one more week left to play in our Altered Art Challenge #5....I'd love to see your creation!)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will continue to enjoy our continuous string of Halloween treat containers until October 10th!!

so cute Vicki! I love making projects using nuggets. The only problem is that I tend to eat them LOL. Actually, I did buy a bag intending on using them for my post but I ate the whole thing along with a bag of kisses too LOL!
